Our General Business product (Tariff 22) gives you peace of mind that the price you pay for your power remains the same no matter what time you use it. If you have minimal usage outside of business hours and don’t have equipment running 24/7 – this might be the product for your business.
The rate reduces after the first 500 kWh you use each quarter. If you’re using a lot of hot water during regular business hours, you may be able to pair your General Business product with our Business Hot Water product (Tariff 43) or one of our Off Peak products (Tariffs 61 & 62) which all have lower rates.
Here’s a table showing the breakdown of charges:
General Business (Tariff 22) | |
Daily supply charges | 128.4693 ¢/day |
First 500 kWh/quarter | 32.7539 ¢/kWh |
Remainder | 26.3844 ¢/kWh |
Note: Prices effective as of 1 July 2025
* This figure is calculated based on a billing period of 91 days. If the billing period is different from t his, the 500kWh is changed according to pro-rata calculations

The price change reflects increases in the wholesale cost of gas. In 2022, the Federal Government passed legislation to cap wholesale gas prices. The capped wholesale gas price is reflected in Aurora Energy’s price change, and this has kept Aurora Energy’s prices from being higher than they otherwise would have been.
Although we’re happy to have avoided larger increases, we do acknowledge that any increase may place additional pressure on household and business budgets.
