The minimum feed-in-tariff rates are set by the independent Tasmanian Economic Regulator each year.

The FiT you receive depends on the size of your solar system, and whether you are a business or residential customer.

Standard FiT business customers

Standard Feed-in Tariff for business customers (X5I)  – 150

Available to regulated small customers that meet the below system eligibility.

Eligibility  Rate
  • A single-phase solar system up to 10kW, or
  • A three-phase solar system up to 30kW
9.276 cents/kWh

  • Quarterly bills with estimated readings will result in zero kWh displayed in your feed in credits. Don’t worry, you won’t lose the credits as you’ll see them the next time a true reading is obtained at your business.
  • 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027
  • Rates will be reset by the Regulator on 1 July 2027

Planning to upgrade your solar system? If adding panels or increasing your system size will take you above the Standard Feed-in Tariff eligibility limits (10kW for single-phase connections or 30kW for three-phase connections), the feed-in tariff rate you receive per kWh exported may change. We recommend contacting us on 1300 13 2045 before proceeding to discuss how your feed-in tariff could be affected.

Non-Qualifying feed-in (X6I) – 160

Non-Qualifying feed-in (X6I) – 160:

Applies to customers whose solar system exceeds the size limits for the Standard Feed-in Tariff. If you have this tariff, please contact us on 1300 13 2003 (Monday - Friday, 8am-6pm) to discuss your FiT rate.
