Just want to disconnect? 

If you don't need to connect to a new property but need to move out of your existing one, you can use our online move-out form.

What else you need to know:

  • If you have a remotely read advanced meter, there is no fee charged for your move-in/out. 
  • If your advanced meter needs to be manually read, the fee will be between $82.22 - $127.22. 
  • If you have a manually read basic meter there is a fee of $93.19 for a standard connection and a fee of $59.14 to disconnect. 
  • For disconnection requests: A meter reading will be done to finalise your account. The power at the property will not be turned off. If you wish to have the power disconnected or abolished, please call us. 
  • We need to know where your meter is and that there is safe and clear access. Also, let us know if there are any sub-boards inside as we may need access to them too. There's a wasted site visit fee of $93.19 if access is not clear.
  • If you require a gas connection or disconnection there is a fee of $110, which is passed through from Tas Gas Networks. 

Some other things you need to know:

  • Sometimes the government, regulator, network distributor or metering coordinator will change a fee, or add a new fee, and we may pass that on to you.
  • If you owe money from another account, you can’t connect online and you’ll need to give us a call on 1300 132 003 from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
