What you need to know:

  • If you have a remotely read advanced meter, there is no fee to finalise your account.
  • If your advanced meter needs to be manually read, the final read fee will be between $91.65-$210.22
  • If you have a manually read basic meter a standard final read is $64.09.
  • Safe and clear access to the meter is required. There's a wasted site visit fee of S100.97 if access is not clear.
  • A meter reading will be done to finalise your account. The power at the property will not be turned off. If you wish to have the power disconnected, please call us. 
  • If you require a supply abolishment, please call us. 
  • If you require a gas disconnection there is a fee of $110, which is passed through from Tas Gas Networks. 

Some other things you need to know:

Sometimes the government, regulator, network distributor, or metering coordinator will change a fee, or add a new fee, and we may pass that on to you.
