Identity check

We really care about your privacy and security, and we work hard to keep your personal information safe. If you don’t meet our identity requirements when contacting us online or over the phone, we will ask you to complete an ID check.

How to complete an ID check

1. Visit any Service Tasmania centre, with three of the below identity documents:

• Overseas passport
• Visa Grant notice or VEVO
• Australian issued Immicard
• Australian Birth certificate
• Australian Firearms licence
• Personal information card
• Tasmanian Government Centrelink concession card
• Tasmanian Registration to work with vulnerable people (RWVP) card
• Student identity card with photo, issues by an Australian institution
• Australian bank or credit card

2. Ask for a STARS identification receipt.
3. Call us at 1300 132 003 with your receipt number to finalise your connection.
