2025 Federal Government energy support
The Australian Federal Government has committed that from 1 July 2025, all residential households and small businesses will receive two further payments of $75 (equalling $150) over 2025-26.
Payments are to be applied in two instalments and Aurora Energy is working with the Government on the detailed arrangements required to make the payments.
These payments will be applied automatically, you do not need to do anything in order to receive them.

To be eligible for each payment you need to have an active electricity account at the end of the month preceding each payment.
You do not need to do anything in order to receive the payment.
Customers do not need to do anything in order to receive the RED payment. Payments will start to appear on bills after 1 May 2025. RED payments are not refundable into a bank account.
The Tasmanian Government has announced the 2024-25 Renewable Energy Dividend (RED) payment will be paid to Tasmanian electricity account holders this financial year from 1 May 2025.
The RED is intended to provide cost-of-living relief and ensure Tasmanians share in the state’s renewable energy future.
The Tasmanian Government has committed to a Renewable Energy Dividend of $60 for every Tasmanian electricity residential account holder above and beyond any concessions they already receive.
Energy Relief Payments for 2024–25
The table below outlines all available energy relief payments for 2024–25. These payments have been delivered to support residential households and small business customers with their energy costs and assist with the cost of living expenses.

Supercharged RED - $250 for residential customers and $300 for small business delivered in a one-off payment.
2024 Government Energy Support - $300 for residential customers and $325 for small business, delivered in quarterly instalments.
2023 Energy Bill Relief Fund - $250 for eligible concession holders (shown in the table above), delivered in instalments.
Annual Electricity Concession - $633 for eligible concession holders (shown in the table above), daily payment of $1.73.
