3. Prize

There is one prize to be drawn for the Competition, which is (subject to clause 3.1(b)) one month (30 days) of free electricity usage for one National Meter Identifier (as described in the National Energy Retail Rules) at the Winner’s residential Premises that is registered with the Winner’s aurora+ account for the period from 1 June 2026 to 30 June 2026 inclusive (“Competition Prize”).

Aurora Energy will calculate how much electricity the Winner actually used during the month of June 2026 using data collected from their advanced meter and aurora+. The Competition Prize will then be calculated and applied via Power Hours (separate T&Cs apply) as a retrospective bill credit to the Winner’s account for the month of June 2026. For the avoidance of doubt:

  • the Promoter will not charge the Winner for any electricity usage they consume at their nominated property for the month of June 2026, but all other charges (including those classified as “Supply Charges” on the Winner’s bill) will still be payable for the month of June 2026; and

  • The Competition Prize can only be applied to one National Meter Identifier at the residential premises that is registered with the Winner’s aurora+ account.

The Winner will forfeit the Competition Prize if the winner ceases to:

  • be a residential customer of the Promoter;

  • be the listed account holder of an active aurora+ account; or

  • have electronic billing selected as their default billing method, prior to at 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2026.

The Competition Prize is non-transferable.

4. Winning

The Promoter will randomly draw the winner of the Competition from the pool of eligible entrants.

5. Winners

Notification

The Promoter will notify the winner as soon as reasonably practicable, but no later than 7 days from the end of the Promotion Period.

Acceptance

A winner must be able to confirm their acceptance of their Competition Prize via phone, email, or another form of written communication, within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving notice from the Promoter under clause 5.1 (Notification).

Redraw

If a winner does not satisfy the eligibility criterion in clause 2.2, or they are unable to confirm their acceptance of their Competition Prize in accordance with clause 5.2 (Acceptance), then that winner will have no right to claim their Competition Prize. The Promoter may then, in their absolute and sole discretion, decide to randomly draw another winner to receive the unaccepted prize from the remaining pool of entrants of the Competition (and so on, until a winner confirms acceptance of the Competition Prize in accordance with clause 5.2 (Acceptance) of these terms and conditions).

Prize delivery

The Promoter will apply the Competition Prize as a retrospective bill credit for the month of June 2026 to one residential premise nominated by the winner that is registered with the winner’s aurora+ account.

Verification

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The Promoter reserves the right to request a winner to provide proof of identity and residency at the nominated delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
