Aurora Energy continues to be focussed on empowering customers to make informed decisions about their energy usage following the release of the Tasmanian Renewable Energy Action Plan.
The State Government launched the Plan today in Launceston, highlighting Tasmania’s immense potential in renewable energy, which can grow the economy, attract investment, create jobs and support Australia’s transition to renewable generation.
Aurora is perfectly placed to work alongside the Government to empower customers to manage their energy needs and take advantage of new technology and market offerings, as the energy market undergoes rapid transformation and technological change.
Aurora Energy Chief Product and Customer Officer, Andrew Crozier said the retailer was providing industry-leading tools that puts the power in customers’ hands.
“Our digital product aurora+ is the perfect example of that. It enables customers to better understand and control their energy costs, and conveniently be able to manage them via whichever device suits them,” Mr Crozier said.
“aurora+ increases awareness of daily energy patterns and behaviours, assisting customers to shift or change habits around the home to ultimately help them save on their energy bill.
“We will continue to invest in developing new products and services that provide value for our customers and empower them to make informed decisions about their energy usage."
Mr Crozier said a range of free online tools have also been made available on Aurora’s website this year – fast-tracked as a COVID-19 support measure – designed to help customers to stay in control of their energy costs, including right plan calculator, usage estimator and a high bill checklist.
